Watercolor Dots… on Sheets! (Hopefully that’s not just exciting to me.)

This post needs a disclaimer.  I feel guilty about pointing out things I love and don’t own, especially if they’re expensive.  I’m not saying I want to buy anything, just that if this thing fell into my lap for free, I would do a super dorky happy dance.  No big deal, just a girl and an imaginary happy dance.

What inspires this dance?  Some people love shoes or the perfect trendy jewelry.  I know this might sound weird, but I feel that way about bed linens.  Sheets and duvet covers and bedspreads epitomize comfort to me.  They’re what you wrap yourself up in on a cold winter morning, and if that isn’t enough, they’re pretty.  I’m sold.

Since I have a practical side and an average-sized linen closet, I choose to just really enjoy that switch from summer bedspread to winter duvet.  I choose not to buy lots and lots of sheets.

Enter temptation/inspiration, whichever way you look at it: Pine Cone Hill, which I only recently discovered, is selling a new sheet design with an all-over watercolor dots pattern.

Pretty, right?  Check them out with some classy linen:

The pattern is so subtle from a few feet away and so bright and perky up close.  I hope you enjoy the pretty, too.  Soon, it will be flannel sheets season, and I’ll get to make another free switcheroo complements of the linen closet.  Exciting stuff.
