Redemption of Things Left Undone

Well, as predicted, I barely got the necessary things done last night.  I cleaned out future roomie’s bathroom closet, started a load of towels for that same bathroom, and put away the pile of junk on the dining room table.  I half packed for the weekend away (Hey, Blacksburg!), and I finished that this morning.  Who knows what clothes I actually put in my bag.  I’m pretty sure I have pajamas and a toothbrush, so I guess that’s all that matters.

The good news about all of this rushing around that I did is that I forgot to get a card for Scott’s dad’s birthday celebration.  No, that’s not really the good part.  The good part is that Martha Stewart, in all of her crafty awesomeness, has ideas for me online.

Her ideas include really pretty paper and fancy pens and such, none of which I have in my work cave.  What I do have is some free time during my lunch break, some off-white paper, and a semi-nice pen.  Pretty close.  So with no further ado, I introduce the paper airplane birthday card, Martha style.

Giving a homemade paper airplane card from an adult to another adult might not be quite what Martha had in mind with that suggestion, but I’m happy with that.  I also think that my paper airplane is going to fly pretty well.  That has be to worth something.  If I get nervous about my craftiness, I’ll stop at a store on the drive to Blacksburg.

Another thing I haven’t done yet?  Written about Easter.  I’ll think some thoughts on that this weekend and get back to you on Monday.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are.
